Important Notice to
Delta Dental of New Jersey
Employers for Dental Services Received in 2009
Delta Dental of New Jersey has recalculated the 2009 maximum allowable charges (MACs) for certain services performed by participating and non-participating dentists in New Jersey and Connecticut. The MACs are the fee levels Delta Dental uses in processing claims.

There is no impact for those members who are covered under a Delta Dental Point of Service (POS), Delta Dental PPOSM, Advantage or DeltaCareâ benefit plan and who received services from a Delta Dental PPO, Advantage or DeltaCare dentist.

Online Eligibility Submissions Enhanced
Our online Eligibility Submissions application includes powerful new capabilities for eligibility administrators. Here are just a few:

  • Enhanced search feature so you can quickly find a member's profile online
  • Expanded first name and last name fields
  • Ability to list dependents by their actual last names

Online Dental Disease Risk Assessment Quiz
Educating your employees about their personal risk factors can help them understand their susceptibility to oral health problems and provide methods to reduce their risk. Eligibility Submissions Online
Manage your eligibility information quickly and easily from our Web site. Use Delta Dental’s online Eligibility Submissions to enroll and terminate members; make changes, transfers and reinstatements; and view member profiles. Please note that as of March 7, 2009, the View Benefits and View Profile options are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For more information, please call 800-452-9310.

Effective January 2010 Delta Dental of New Jersey will be making changes to the maximum allowable charges (MACs) which are the fee levels Delta Dental uses in processing claims. Please note that we expect many fees to increase, some to decrease, while others will remain unchanged.

This change will have no impact on those members who are covered under a Delta Dental Point of Service (POS), Delta Dental PPOSM, Advantage or DeltaCareâ benefit plan and who receive services from a Delta Dental PPO, Advantage or DeltaCare dentist.
